Errors when attempting to revert to saved image. Methods from a Windows based recovery and bootable cd based recovery do NOT wor
Having trouble trying to revert back to a image that I have saved on an External HDD. Every time I try to restore an image I am unable to because of an error when Axronis Loader begins. I have tried both the Windows based restore method accessible from the Acronis program within Windows and I have also tried to revert back using the bootable cd that I created.
This is the first time I have EVER had trouble getting this software to work and have used Acronis on at least 5 other Windows machines with NO issues whatsoever. My last successful use of this software was just recently on another machine.
Here is the error message that I receive. It happens shortly before Acronis loader is beginning but before it is completely loaded. After about two to three minutes I get another error message that says something similar to "Acronis could not find a hard drive" Windows loads fine but I want to roll back to my original image to troubleshoot an error.
This may not be complete error message and may be missing something from what it actually says.
/bin/ipwatchd/:Error while loading shared libraries:libcap.so.0.94: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory.

I have tried the following including downloading the ISO file here as well as creating the ISO file from within the software and I STILL get the same problem. What happpens during each attempt is that the program begins to load and the Acronis True Image splash screen loads allowing me to check the option to start Acronis Recovery Manager. After I choose to start the recovery manager I get the screen that shows the Acronis screen i the upper left hand corner and then the error comes up. After about three minutes the main interface loads and the "No drives found" dialog box displays."

Hello Brian and Gary!
Thank you for finding time to report about the issue and many thanks to Gary for kind assistance.
Brian, unfortunately due to the lack of diagnostic information it is difficult to identify the exact cause. So we would appreciate if you could kindly gather the following information:
- Acronis Linux Report from the Bootable Media downloaded from our website
- Acronis Info from the target machine is possible
After that please contact support directly with the information attached. Please keep in mind that you can always specify us the case number in case of any procrastination - we will do our best to speed up the process.
Should you face any difficulties with obtaining diagnostic information or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

I have tried the following and I was not able to generate either one of the reports. The first one, the linux report never completed and just hung at the "this may take awhile" prompt.
And the second one within Windows, the AcronisInfo was unable to generate or save either of the two reports it tried to make.
I have had this computer for less than a week and have had multiple issues with it. I will be returning the computer and try to make the store understand that the computer is defective even though it is operational to a point which will be hard to prove any problems since it does work and turn on. There are numerous problems that may not crop up when they check it to return it. I will lose 15% of this computer's price if they determine that it is not defective and I cannot think of any viable means to prove it is non operational.

Hello Brian,
Unfortunately, we're unable to determine what caused the issue.
However, there is another workaround that should help you. Please use Acronis BartPE plug-in to restore your drives.
BartPE (Bart's Preinstalled Environment) is software that allows you to boot into Windows-like environment from a CD. The main advantage is that it uses Windows drivers and has Windows-like graphical user interface. It is possible to add any storage drivers at startup in the same manner as when installing Windows on the hard drive (by pressing F6 and inserting diskette with drivers).
In addition, applications can be installed into the BartPE environment at boot-up using a BartPE plug-in. For detailed information on BartPE please refer to http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/.
As noted, various applications can be installed into BartPE in the form of plug-ins. Acronis True Image plug-in for BartPE is available for every edition of Acronis True Image.
Please refer to this KB article for the detailed instructions on how to obtain and use Acronis BartPE plug-in.
Please reply to this thread if you need any additional assistance.
Thank you.
