Excessive backup time

Thread needs solution

I've just upgraded to 2012 from 2010 but i began to notice a very severe increase in disk image backup time when i originally moved to 2010 and the problem has persisted with 2012. I'm doing an incremental backup of 2 partitions (as drives D and E) with a combined file size of c 190 GB. The backup destination is my server over the LAN (workgroup running across 1 GB switches). This takes in excess of 10 hours to complete. That's without verification etc. OS is Win 7 pro, fully patched. Running True Image Home 2012, just upgraded from 2010.

The subsequenbt inc rementals seem to go in a very respectable time (minutes) but usually are relatively small dilay increments.

CAn anyone give me a pointer or vire on this please?
Many thanks

Chris, I cannot help but I can sympathize. I had an old version (2007?) and recently upgraded my backup target drive from a 400G to a 2t drive. I let Acronis set it up. Since then my full backups went from 45 minutes to about 4 hours. I just installed 2012 and it is no better.

I checked the new disk for errors - none found.
