Explorer Search 20-30 secs to Open - TI 2012 the Culprit

I spent countless hours trying to solve this problem - whenever I right-clicked in Explorer on any folder and selected "Search" - it took about a half-minute to open and my system basically froze until then.  During this time dllhost.exe starts running, and if I terminate that in Task Manager then the Search Window pops into view. 

This is WinXP SP3 I am referring to.  I doubt it affects Windows 7 since it uses a different Search Utility.

I finally realized why - Acronis Home 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as I rsn the 2012 Clean Uninstall Tool, and it asked me do I want to "Stop the Explorer Process" - then Search worked fine again. So TI 2012 is taking over Windows Explorer now and messing up the Search utlity ?   Geez where does it end ??
