Failing recovery disk on e-sata

Unrecognized external disk has been discussed here several times.
I've been sent a few iso's that did not work either.
However, it's not something I blame Acronis for exclusively.
Tried a couple of other programs that make a recovery disk, and none was able to see my e-sata external hdd.
I did not like the thing: many programs started delayed because it took the e-sata disc 3 secs to awake...and no visible option to shorten that.
So I bought a 500Gb internal sata hdd for 45 Euro s this morning and installed it in 15 minutes.
Now all is well, Acronis has already made a C:\ image and is currently happily starting an incremental "everything" backup to it.
Only hazard now is a big fire but hey, I never locked the Iomega into my safe either...

I do hope Acronis is pursuing the issue for those with pen drives or very sensitive data!
