Failure of all backups since 9 July 2013

Thread needs solution

After a period where most of my backups appeared to work most of the time, nothing has completed since 8 July. This includes daily File Level Backups, Email Backups and weekly Disk Level Backups. Failure messages are of two types:

1. Scheduler failed to run task with GUID "[long string]"

2. Operation has completed with errors.
0x9F2C53C72E8BCD1F

Failed to process pair script:B4708233-1AA5-4615-A38D-ADD95AD9D168. [not always same string]

However what is striking is that all backups, of whatever type, seem to have failed since 9 July. On 9 July there is a log entry for an interminable Email backup that lists the start of one backup after another, each with the name taken from a single email entry, but without either a success or failure message at the top. I wonder whether this backup may have corrupted something. Incidentally, I do find it weird that the log reports a backup starting for each individual email in my file - is this by design?

What is consistent now is that, whichever predefined job I try to run manually from the console, I get the "Scheduler failed to run the task..." message.

What should be my first steps in diagnosing and fixing this situation? Log is 27MB so cannot attach it in its present form.

The simplest is to:
- move your existing backup files to another hidden directory on the same disk for safekeeping,
- delete all the backup tasks in ATI,
- uninstall ATI,
- reboot,
- reinstall
- recreate your tasks.

Pat,

Thank you for this. I am about ready to try this, but before I do I'd like to be sure that I have correctly identified the executable for reinstallation. I downloaded the trial version and then upgraded to the licensed version. The executable I have in my Acronis downloads folder is named ATIH2013_trial_en-EU.exe. I assume that, if I reinstall using this and then apply the licence key I got when I paid for a Licence, this will work. If not I need a better strategy.

Login to your Acronis account and download the installer. You must have your ATI serial number registered online with Acronis to be able to access the downloads in your account:
