Failure to List Newest Images in Recovery Panel

Thread needs solution

I upgraded to 2010 yesterday (Friday). Looks like you have done a nice job.

The upgrade seems to have copied my scheduled tasks correctly from the previous version. According to the logs, and also the new files displayed by the file manager, the two tasks that should have run last night (Saturday AM) did run (one Full Backup and one Incremental).

One task is a full backup. However, when I run ATI 2010, the Welcome screen still tells me Your system is not fully protected. Perform the following operations: Back Up My System.  Why would it continue to say this after a successful Full backup?

Also, when I visit the Recovery tab, the images listed do not include the Full and Incremental backups from last night (Saturday AM), just the backups I had run prior to installing the upgrade (ie,nothing later than 10/30).

Hello Cary,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to give you a clear explanation of both issues.

  • Browse to where the product's backup database is stored:

    /Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Acronis/TrueImageHome/Database

  • Open the archive.xml file in a text editor (e.g. Notepad):

  • Find the following string:

    Archive DataType="0" Flags="0"

    And change it to:

    Archive DataType="0" Flags="8"

  • Save the file with the exact same name: archive.xml

In order to solve the second issue you should just Browse (Recovery -> browse for backup) for backup archive and point it location. After that the backup archive will be seen from the restoration window.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
