Figuring out "serial number" and Acronis Online Backup

Thread needs solution

GOAL
I have signed up for Acronis Backup Online with the intention of backing up and creating an entire image of the O/S, all installed applications (Programs) and other files / folders [and keep them all online]. In other words, I don't want to backup just "My Documents"

Why? Because I have encountered "blue screen" (of death) multiple times in the recent past and this is not fun :-(

I have not bought any other desktop "imaging" solution from Acronis neither recently nor in the past.

After logging into my account, I am prompted to enter a "serial number".

I only see a "Cleverbridge Reference Number". So I just tried to invent a string with "-" characters included.

However, my attempt was not successful?

Can you help so that I can achieve my GOAL (described above)?

I have the same question. I tried out the trial version; then this morning took a month's paid subscription. When I went to my account I was asked to enter serial numbers. Is it correct that for online backup serial numbers are not required, and I can just ignore that page? thx ed

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern, and will be glad to shed the light to the situation.

As soon as you purchase the subscription, it immediately gets tied to the e-mail address you've purchased it from, and available under your account here. So there's no license activation required.

From the Online Backup page you can download the Standalone Online Backup Tool and proceed with the backup creation. Recovery process and be performed after the first backup is created.

Please also note that we have Web-restore available, which you may find convenient.
