Freezes but sound continues to play?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

3 times a day my PC is freezing (with sound continuing to play).

Windows Logs the error:

Encrypted volume check: Volume information on \\?\Volume{13a0531c-1aba-11e0-8723-806e6f6e6963} cannot be read.

with source "BitLocker-Driver" and the ID "24620".

None of my drives are set to use bitlocker.

All evidence I've read online points to an issue in True Image Home 2011.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with Acronis True Image Home 2011 build 6857.

Any ideas on this issue?

Dean,

I'm not so sure that TIH2011 is the root cause of your problem as it doesn't use the bitlocker driver nor does it encrypt the source drive.

If you disable Acronis Scheduler2 service in Services and reboot does the problem still occur? If it does open up msconfig and untick Acronis Scheduler Helper, and TrueImageHome entries, reboot and see what happens.

Does the problem go away if you uninstall 2011?

Have you tried running a repair install of 2011?

Is the Bitlocker Drive Encryption Service running or set to manual and not running?
