FTP fails to connect

Thread needs solution

Support refused to help unless I pay them because I was 15 days past the 30 day window. It was the first time I had the chance to contact them. Was very disappointed in customer service there. Hopefully someone here can assist.

I recently purchased True Image 2015 to replace my True Image 2013 and now I can not use a Rescue Media Builder CD to backup/restore to/from an FTP server. Using 2013 I can connect, backup and restore using FTP. My new PCs network card is not supported in that version of True Image so I upgraded to 2015. The FTP server has not changed and the user account/password has not changed. Passive mode is allowed. Ports 20 and 21 TCP/UDP are open. (allowing every port does not fix the problem) I get an error saying that my username/password are incorrect. I'm using build 6525. Any assistance would be great.

Is it a new task? Are you starting backup from Acronis bootable media or in Windows?

I believe the TI app uses your Windows Admin User Account username and password. This may be the issue you have. Have you tried using that username and password when prompted?
