Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack (build 7046)
My disk configurations include the box stock internal drive (160GB) and a Toshiba external drive (320GB). The Toshiba drive is configured with three logical drives (not partitions). Each drive is dedicated for a given purpose: backup archives (80GB), media (160GB), and regular data files (80GB). The internal drive has multiple user accounts.
I'm pretty new at using backups and want to ensure that my understanding is correct. I have scheduled disc backups for three of my disks (one internal and two external). Two are incremental backups, and one is a full backup. All are validated as part of the scheduled tasks. Previous archives are scheduled for deletions in different manners for each disk, using file importance and available storage area for criteria for deletions. Additionally, I have a virgin image backup stored. (This is from my first backup using Acronis.)
After reading the Users Manual and a few Knowledge Base articles, I have the understanding that the disk backups include both the operating system and all files of the disk. This is basically a clone which can be used to duplicate the entire contents of the disk for disaster restoration or disk replacement. Is this a correct understanding?
Also I wish to know if my bookmarks in Firefox 3.6.x (the latest version) are included in these backup archives.
Are all the user accounts included in the backups?
I may have included more information than necessary, but would rather include too much than too little.
Replies will be greatly appreciated, including pertinent information I may have neglected to ask.
