Getting hardrive error on bootable CD

Thread needs solution

Im a user of Acronis True Image 10.

My restore failed and was not able to boot up. I created a bootable CD to do a restore via my account logon. This CD boots up fine but when I click "Next" after selecting the "Backup Type" I get the following error:

E000101F4: Acronis True Image Home has not found any hard disk drives.

I have a SATA harddrive and run a ZD System computer

Please advise on how I can get a bootable CD that works with my desktop.

Thank you.

Erik,

When you say TI 10 do you mean actual version 10 or version 2010? Either way which build are you using?

It sounds as though the Linux kernel doesn't have a driver for your system.

Check in the BIOS and see if you are running your S-ata drives in AHCI mode or in IDE compatible. If in AHCI then change it to IDE compatible reboot and see if the Rescue CD can now recognise your drives. If successful, you will need to change the setting back before booting back into Windows.
