HELP ME PLEASE!

Thread needs solution

My OS is shot and I am in the process of trying to get partitions etc. back with Hirem's Boot CD.
One of the options is to use the Seagate Disc Wizard but it says "to use the product at least 1 Seagate or Maxtor device should be installed". Hello! My computer doesn't even see an operating system, it's looking for disks! I bought Acronis in 2009 and it is installed on my 32 bit XP system which you could see if my C drive hadn't of disappeared. I also have a dead Seagate external hard drive I could send a picture of and my grandson (who I am raising) has Acronis 11.5 for his 64 bit Win 7 system. I am really upset that I couldn't use the product when I was in Hirem's as I have been a good customer.

Btw, yes I was using the Acronis disk director (partitioning) when I lost my drives.

I hope you will be able to help me as I am really angry at your company right now.

Thank you,

Demi

I AM EDITING THIS POST NOW!!!!!

I just went and read what all Seagate Disc Wizard does and I don't think it will help me.  I have drives of raw data I am trying to get back.

Hirem's Boot CD and Seagate Disc Wizard are not Acronis products. Your post is entirely confusing. What are you trying to do?

Demi,

Do you have your copy of the bootable Acronis Disk Director CD?

You can boot your computer to it and have it try and repair the partition information on your drive. Repairing partition information is one of the features of the program. Do you remember what function you were trying to accomplish when your drive "disappeared"?

If you do not have a copy of the bootable CD, you can download an ISO image file that can be used to create a bootable CD from your Acronis account if you have registered the serial number of your product. (If not registered yet, you can do it online at any time.)

Tuttle - they have some kind of working relationship as the seagate message refers you to acronis.com/seagate.

James, thanks for your response. Yes, I was using the Acronis disk director CD when all of this happened. I have done so much "fixing" I wouldn't know where to start to tell you about it or what further damage I may have done to being able to re-cooperate. I am trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel and count my blessings. After all, nobody died..I just lost my OS. Since I wrote my message here I came to the conclusion that I may just need to reload XP. The good news is I was able to recover my music partition and my graphics partition. These recovery programs just don't want to give me my Windows folder or Programs Folder and they have limits on how much you can get back without buying the software.

I have chosen a 125 Gig partition that I believe contained the XP Operating system and I'm wiping everything else twice. I had to much crap popping up..to include 30 gigs of music, 40 gigs of graphics, Old win98 programs and I think I even saw some win 95. I've given it extra room at both ends in case some of it has overlapped. I'm waiting for the wiping now. Anyway, If I could get Windows and the programs folder back I would be happy! If not, it could be worse. I appreciate any suggestions! It's just guesswork now.
