High CPU usage
Has this issue with high CPU got a solution?
I have seen several unanswered complaints but no resolution.
What does TrueImage 2014 do when no backup or any other activities have beeen initiated??
The 2010 version did not have this feature.

I am, of course, talking about TIH 2014 and its extremely high usage of CPU even if the program is open and nothing has been done/started by the user.
Of course I refer to the CPU usage (TrueImage.exe) shown by Windows task manager.
This has been discussed several times in this forum but no explanation has been given to this important issue.
Some people have also left TIH for other software because of this problem.
The computer requirements show nothing about this.

Can nobody give an explanation to this question?

I had CPU usage, along with multiple instances of [trueimage.exe] running at the same time.
The cause for the high CPU usage in my case was a corrupt TIB (True Image Backup) file encountered during ATIH2014's discovery process.
To correct the problem, I renamed the extension of every existing TIB file on the system and th problem went away.
Tip: If you rename the TIBs while [trueimage.exe] is running, and during the rename you get a file is in use message, then that is probably the file which is causing the problem.

I'm having this issue too. If I start Acronis True Image Home 2014 (I'm having all updates installed), the CPU usage is normal. But from the moment on, when I'm starting a backup job, ATIH 2014 uses 100 % of one CPU core, even if the job is finished. If I close ATIH, it takes from 5 to 10 minutes until the process "TrueImage.exe" closes and doesn't use the CPU core anymore.
This is really annoying, because my computer (Intel Core 2 Duo T6400, 4 GB RAM, Windows 7 64 bit) is nearly unusable while True Image is running. Is Acronis going to fix this bug?

High CPU usage is really a headache for a gamer. you can try these slolution:
Clear Event Viewer Logs
Download and install all available Windows updates
Scan your computer for viruses and malware
Find and Disable the service that causes the “svchost” high CPU usage problem
I have briefly explained the issue here: http://errorcodespro.com/fix-svchost-exe-netsvcs-high-cpu-memory-usage/
