Home-2009 Restore to a larger HD
I have had the home 2009 version for many years and have been happy with it. but, now I have a Lenovo T61 laptop and I have a full image of drive C and I want to pull out the 80gig Drive C and restore to a 160 gig drive C (only drive C nothing else on the HD)
This program is driving me crazy. The printed user manual does not say "how" to do this and no I can not install both the 80gig and the 160gig HD at the same time on the laptop... and when I boot from the Acronis boot CD I can not "mount" an image... ???
So, someone please tell me how to do this before I go looking for a product that can do this without making the end user crazy..
Thank god the original 80gig HD is perfect and I can re-install it at any time.

thanks Thomasjk,
The link below is item #2-BB inside the link Thomas referenced.
Refer this link and use #2 or even #1

You need to take a complete and full backup of your 80 and then restore it onto the 160.
In order for the restore to work on the Thinkpad, you must install the 160 inside the computer before doing the restore. this is covered in the both the #2 and #1 examples.

Performing the PDF in the link provided by GroverH titled TIH2012 Restore to larger or smaller disk.
I do get the windows boot mgr screen and regardless of picking Win 7 or system restore I then get
the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
And I followed the instructions exactly...

I am not understanding where you are within the process. Did you boot from the user created TrueImage Bootable media Recovery CD and select Full Version? Have you booted into the TrueImage program?
