Home 2011 does not connect to NDAS drive

I am running W7 Ultimate 64 bit on a ASRock x 58 Supercomputer Motherboard and Home 2011 build 5105.
Created the recue boot CD. It boots OK. But then..... My backups are on a NDAS drive. When I try to connect to the NDAS drive it asks for the ID and the write key. I type them in and hit Connect and then it fails and asks for Retry or Cancel. The only exit is Cancel.
I then tried Home 2010 build 7046 and it easily connects to the NDAS drive, so maybe in builkd 5105 something has changed with regard to the NDAS connection(s).
Effectively I can not restore or backup as the NDAS drive is unavailable in recue mode.
Anybody please help.

Now I am on the latest update,6574, from nov 24 2010 and again it is impossible to connect an NDAS as the system freezes up upon activation of the connect button. So outside Windows I have no recovery possibilities.
However it still connects to the recovery CD from build 5519. But is the recovery from 5519 compatilble with the recovery from 6574?
