how to backup to external without files being encrypted? (an identical useable duplicate)

Thread needs solution

I hope this is not a really obviously dumb question!

I have an external hard drive where I store all my important data etc. I want to use acronis home to duplicate the contents of that drive (all things on the drive are saved in folders) to another external drive. But I want it to do it in a way that if I take the backup external somewhere I can access the files and folders just like the original (ie the actual folders and files are there instead of an disk image). I want to be able to have an auto sceduled backup which will only update changed files so it does not take long. (like you can do in allwaysync)

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Errnest,
In order to view the files inside a backup file, you would need TI installed on that computer.

A better solution would be to use a sync program. There are many. One I like is Replicator. This is free for persona use by Karen Kenworthy. Do a google search for her program.

This starts out by copying everything you want copied and then only the changes after that. It is fast and easy to use and can be scheduled. The copies are normal files or a duplication of the original.

You might want to consider using TrueImage to keep at least one copy and don't forget you need TI to keep a backup or your system disk.
