How to convert tib ATIH 2011 to vmdk or vhd
Hi everybody,
I tried a bit of searching around the forum but could not find anything specific to my situation, any help and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
My old PC's hard drive is kind of crashing, I was able using ATIH 2011 booting from the CD to create a TIB of the bad hard drive overcoming a bunch of bad sectors. I would like to be able to try and boot that machine back up as a vmware or hyper-v virtual machine that I can run on the new Windows 8 OS I just installed but have not been able to find a straight simple way of converting the tib to vmdk or vhd.
I still have the old hard drive attached to my PC and I keep getting SMART messages telling me that is going bad and just for kicks I tried Disk2vhd from systernals/Microsoft but the application was not able to overcome the bad sectors and just hanged for days until one day the light went out and my computer shutdown.
If I cannot convert the tib that I created with ATIH 2011 what other Acronis product can I use that can overcome the bad sectors and will eventually produce a vmdk or vhd that I can boot as a virtual machine in Windows 8?
Thanks,
