How Do I Clone The 100mB partition in Win7?

Thread needs solution

I'm using Acronis Home 11 on a Win 7 Home Premium 64 system to clone to a USB enclosed HD. The destination hard drive has to be unallocated and you can only clone 1 partition to it. How do I clone the 100mB system partition and the regular C: partition?
Is the 100 mB partition for System Restore?
Can I get rid of the 100mB partition and will Win 7 just use the C: drive?
Thanks

When you say cloning, do you want to produce a copy of your disk that you can boot on? You won't be able to boot on a USB disk...

You should create a disk and partition backup and store it on the USB disk. This backup is as good as a clone. You just have to restore the backup!

In this case, include the system reserved and the C:\system partition in the backup.

The system reserved partition contains the Windows boot files. This partition is optional, unless you want to use Bitlocker one day and you can get rid of it, BUT you will have to repair the start up of your computer with the Windows installation DVD.
If I were you, I would keep it.
