How do I move all my files from 2 drives to 1 new drive

Thread needs solution

I have two drives each of 250 GB I have got a new drive of 1TB and want to put all my files onto it
the drives are C: and D: what's the best way to go about this. TIA.....

I'm only guessing since I don't know if you are wanting to migrate an install to a new larger disk, ot just move data?

**If the "D:" drive is data only, I'd disconnect it from the system.

Start by making a full disk image of drive "C:". It should be a Disk Mode back up that icludes ALL Partitions on the drive (full disk image).

Remove drive "C:" from the machine

Now connect the new 1TB drive to the machine and restore your image to the new disk. Use this guide  If you want to create a new partitioning scheme on the lager disk, this won't be a problem.

Confirm the system boots normally. Shut down and reconnect drive "D:"  Copy data over, create new partition if unallocated space exists, your choice... etc
