how do I see how much freespace is left in ASZ

Thread needs solution

Hi in 2009 there was an option to see the amount of free space left in the secure zone, am I correct that this is missing in 2010 version. If this is the case I can see older backups being deleted before I have a chance to move them from the secure zone. Is there anyway of verifying the amount of free space left in the secure zone.

Hello Joe,

I understand the question and will do everything possible from my side to solve the issue.

You are correct it’s not possible to check the size of Acronis Secure Zone using Acronis True Image Home 2010. As workaround I may suggest you to check it from Disk Management (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management).

I will create a special task to include this option into the future build or version of the program.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Further to the asz : I created a rather large asz, in order to have sufficient space available when using Try & Decide. Now I see the asz becoming filled with tib images. How can I remove the oldest images to free up space ?

Thank you for your help.

Hello Luc!

Thanks for joining and for the reasonable question!

Usually when ASZ gets full it deletes the oldest backup in order to free some space for the new one, so there's no need to worry about it. I would suggest you to check chapter 3.4, p. 21, chapter 13.4.3, p. 117 and chapter 14, p. 120 in the User's Guide for more details!
