How do I stop the agent.exe process from coming up all the time and using CPU

I am using Acronis home 2011, and since I have been using it the agent.exe process loads and runs and closes every minute or so.

I currently mostly use Acronis just for backups, and am thus currently not using it on a daily basis, and would like to eliminate the processes from using up my computer, as I need the power of my lowly dual core processors for other things.

I am running XP SP3 on an intel dual core processor.

So, I am wondering how to shut down agent.exe, the other processes don't seem to bother me right now.
