How do I stop True Image from loading at boot?

Thread needs solution

Hello,

True Image loads two separate "TrueImageMonitor.exe" files at boot.

It also loads links in all of my right click context menus.

I don't want any recovery features unless I put an iso image disk in my pc.

How do I shut off all the present bloat?

Thank you

Try this:
- run services.msc
- in the list, right click on the following services, choose "properties", change the startup type to "disabled" and click OK: Acronis Non-Stop Backup, Acronis Scheduler 2 Service
- run msconfig
- On the startup tab, in the list uncheck Acronis True Image
- In ATI 2011, go to help, settings, windows integration, uncheck all boxes there.

Restart your computer.

Be aware this will disable the possibility of running backups on a schedule. You will be able to run backups manually from windows.

You may want to look at this post from the old forums http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=29880. Look at the section "Why Run The True Image Services" http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=115641 and http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=115641. These are old but still applicable.

To Pat L:

Excellent!

Thank you.

They should incorporate that info in their users guide.

To thomasjk:

You misunderstand.

I just want to disable boot loads so I can do everything manually.

The info from Pat L was what I was looking for.

Iprag,
TrueImage does not have to be installed in order to do backups and restores from the CD.
