How to get partial refund for Acronis Online Backup subscription

I subscribed to Acronis Online Backup v. 2011 for four months. On Sept. 16, I canceled my subscription because the service was eating up incredible amounts of bandwith. I paid for a one-year subscription, but I only used four months of that subscription. Does anyone know how to get a partial refund for the remaining 8 months of my subscription?

You will need to contact Acronis support via chat or email to see what they can do. I am not familiar with the refund policies of the online subscription myself.

Actually, Acronis support has been quite unhelpful. First, they wouldn't respond to my inquiries until I get Cleverbridge -- who handled the payment -- involved. Support maintains that they won't give a refund unless one asks for a refund within 30 days of acquiring the product. Since my problems did not arise until the three-month point, I'm out of luck. I've never heard of a company that does not refund the unused portion of a subscription. I was hoping that someone here knew of a policy within the company that would help me.
