How To Import All Data From My 3 TB External HD To A New 5 TB External HD?
I currently have a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit). It has Acronis True Image 2015 Build 6525 installed on it. It has a 1 TB internal hard drive which doesn't seem to have any issues. It also has a 3 TB Seagate Backup Plus External HD attached to it through USB 3.0. So basically for things like installation files, photos, videos etc. that's what the drive is used for. The only exceptions are Outlook and iTunes where the path is critical to remain with a drive label of I. At least once a week, I use Acronis True Image 2015 to create a full backup of the C: and the I: to another 3 TB Seagate Backup Plus External HD with a drive label of E.
Now, the issue is that both 3 TB drives are almost full. So, I went and purchased two USB 3.0 5 TB Seagate Backup Plus External hard drives that I would like to replace the 3 TB drives. I want to transfer all of the data from one of the 3 TB drives to one of the 5 TB drives and keep the drive label of I on the drive that will remain attached all the time so Outlook and iTunes do not break. I will then place the 3 TB drives in a storage unit so they can be kept safe. What would be the best way to accomplish this task of transferring the data from one of the 3 TB drives to one of the 5 TB drives?
