How quickly does Auto Sync actually take before it kicks in?

I'm working to set up my scheme for backing up and creating personal clouds for our home/small business. We have 6 computers and a number of mobile devices. I've figured out pretty much most of what I need but I'm having a big concern with synchronization.

I have created 'Boxes' on our NAS device that I want to use like a Dropbox account with offline file access. I'm testing right now. I created a share on my NAS called 'MyBox' and used Acronis Synchronization to sync my 'My Documents' folder with a duplicate 'My Documents' folder on my NAS share. When I create a new file on the share 'MyBox' or in 'My Documents' on laptop eventually they show up in both locations. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to happen immediately.

How long does it take for Acronis to actually do the auto sync and is there anyway I can control it?
