I really messed up with ASZ and reserve copies.
I have True image 2011 and DD11 installed on my first back up that is stored in ASZ and a reserved copy stored on a different partition on the same external drive. I made several other backup images of the same operating system with other software installed on ASZ and I also made reserved copies. Unfortunately I did not find out till too late that I could not indiscriminately delete reserved copies. Now when I go to Data Recovery and back up manager only a few of the backups show up and then when I go to Browse for location the missing copies appear. Also not all of my copies are functional. I want to start over and sin no more. If I go to my first backup and delete ASZ and manually delete the reserve copies because I can’t find them when I browse for backups and uninstall and then reinstall True Image 2011 and DD11 will I be able to go forward with out any problems? Do I need to uninstall True Image 2011 and DD11? Are the reserve copies that I made still viable or will True image find them when I reinstall True Image? If I need to delete the reserve copies for the sake of making it all work, I will do so. I just don't want to run the risk of further problems even if I have to start all over. Fortunately my first backup still works so I can remove everything.

Thank you Scott for your reply.
Since I am saving the tib files on an external hard drive I suppose I could just disconnect the external drive to keep the files safe from being scanned by my antivirus software. Or is that an other piece of computer mythology? Are the tib files in jeopardy if the partition they are on is defraged? The notion that I have of the ASZ is that it some how protects the tib files from the monsters that lurk in my computer.

the asz is another partiton that requries ati to work. You should be able to tell your defragger to ignore tib files, depending on which you use.
