How many people have had this Issue? This happened to me twice, thank the lord I have never really had to use my back-ups but when I do I expect them to work.

Do you mean you have validated an archive but then have had it fail when you tried to restore it?

A reason for this is the validation is done in Windows but the restore envrionment is Linux and sometimes the drivers aren't ideal for the hardware.

Can you reliably validate the archives using the TI rescue CD?
