Imaging file selection and time to upload

Thread needs solution

Hi, I'm new to all this so please bear with me. I want to do a disk image but not sure if I have enough space on the cloud.
- How can you what the GB is that is going to be backed up from your pc?
- Is there a way to do a disk image, but exclude certain programs - such as I do not need to image/back up AOL
- How long on average should it take to do an initial image of your pc to the cloud? Could it be days?

Thanks

The standard 5gig is will not be sufficient. How big the backup is will depend on the OS (operating system being used), the programs installed and the amount of data on the HDD. My Windows 8 x64 partition with little data and quite a few programs was about 50 gig and took between 1.5 and 2 days (max upload speed my ISP allows me is 2Mb/s and ATI will only use part of this; the best I got was 1.7Mb/s). I did this with the release version.

I cannot remember if you can configure the compression level when doing a back-up to the cloud.

I put all my data on a separate HDD so I can back it up separately - to me the data is more important than the system drive.
