Incremental Backup
Can someone explain to me how the Incremental backup works in Acronis True Image Home 2010? I set up a full backup then an incremental backup and the incremental backup looks like to full backup. Should it only backup only the files that have changed?
How do you have the Incremental task configured? Was it based on the the existing Full or did it create a new Full for the base?
How much time was between when the Full image was created and when the Incremental image was created?
What version of Windows are you using?
The full back up was created on Monday and the incremental was on Tuesday. How do I tell if its based on the last full backup? I am using windows 7.
How Do I make it based on the last full Backup?
Do you have separate tasks shown or does one task show both backups?
Usually, when you setup a task for Incremental backups, just select that option. TI will automatically make the first backup a Full backup and later backups Incrementals.
If you do backups manually, you would select the option Add to existing backup archive and then select the previous backup or browse to select one not listed.
