Invalid user name or PW

Thread needs solution

This is for vertsion 11. When I enter the UN and PW i get the subject error. I use the UN (OWNER) that is listed on the logs for tasks. That is "William-PC/William". For the PW i entert one of two PW's , "collene or collene1".
"Collene1" is the same PW I use to log on to the comp[uter.
Why is this happening?

I just determined that I could log into my user account, which has admin priveledge, using "William" as user name and "collene1" as the PW.
However, when I schedule a backup in Acronis TI version 11 I am told that the user name or the PW are incorrect.

Could it be that the 2nd password it needs is Computer's name and password (the one you use when you boot your computer)?

I may suggest you to create a test account with administrative privileges and run tasks in Acronis True Image with its credentials.

If this won't help, please update Acronis Scheduler service that is used to manage all tasks:

  1. Download the latest build of Acronis Scheduler;
  2. Run the downloaded file. It will automatically update the service;
  3. Reboot the machine;
  4. Recreate the scheduled tasks.

The program requires Windows authorization for a scheduled task execution. That is why you should enter your account name and password both to let Acronis True Image 11 Home log in to Windows with Administrator's rights and execute a scheduled task.

The procedure is obligatory, and you are not able to miss it.

In other words, you should leave the username generated by our software and type the password you use to log in to Windows. If you don't have a password to log in to Windows, you should leave the password fields empty.

Please reply to this thread if the issue still persists.
