Keyboard doesn't work in latest boot media

Thread needs solution

I just created a new boot disk from version 16.0.6514 of Acronis 2013. When I boot the CD and get the menu (run Acronis, boot the OS, etc.) the keyboard works (at least the arrow and enter keys do). But when I choose Acronis and it boots up, the keyboard doesn't work, while the mouse does.

It's a USB Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard. My PC is a custom build with a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP5 TH motherboard, i7-3770 processor, 16 GB ram. I've tried using USB 2 and USB 3 ports on the motherboard, as well as a USB 2 port on an extension hub. The keyboard LEDs light up, so the keyboard has power. I didn't have this problem with boot media made from the original release of Acronis 13.

On a side note, Acronis has a catch-22 support model. This update came out well after my original 30-day support expired. It's their change, their fault, and yet if I want support on this new update I have to pay for it! What kind of nonsense is this????

There is a known issue with some keyboards, especially wireless keyboards, in the latest build. It's a known issue, so we hope it will be fixed in an upcoming build.

I can confirm I'm having the same problem - keyboard works fine in the BIOS (I can press F8 to select booting to my USB key) and in the Acronis boot screen (I can use the arrow keys to select between True Image and System Report, but I get no keyboard when True Image is actually running. This means I can't use it at all because I need to type in an IP address to get to my NAS.

Is there any ETA on a fixed version, or is there some place I can download the ISO image of the previous version that worked just fine?
