large size of incremental backups

Thread needs solution

I've been using True Image for a year or two. I make an incremental backup every night. The incremental backups are 1 to 2+ GB, even if nothing has changed. For instance, I can leave for a weekend, leave my computer on, and the incremental backups are at least 1GB in size, sometimes over 2GB. Is this normal?

Thanks.

But if nothing is changing, why is the file that hold the changes larger than 1GB?

Windows is always changing files. Are you talking about a Windows partition or a data-type partition (non-OS)?

My Windows 7 partition will usually be 1GB within one or two days and 3GB within two or three days. My data partition may only be 100-200MB in two weeks. Both of these are Differential backups.

Thanks, this is a Windows (XP) partition. The smallest I've had in the last several weeks was 990MB - all others were over 1GB.

Is there a way to see what files are in the incremental backup. Maybe there in an error in the hiberfile or pagefile backup. If I mount the backup, I only can see all files at this date.

Is there a view of files in the ASZ in an incremental backup?
