lost backup volume location mid-way through backup?

Thread needs solution

I am a freelance computer technician representing my client whose account you see here.
Despite my best efforts, the last few months of Acronis backups have failed nearly every day.

Screenshots are here:

There is no KB article for the error code combo:
0x000101F6+0x00070003+0x0010C45A+0x00000009+0x0000FFF0+0x80070008

Please advise. Again, I'm a technician, not an end user.

Stop using the backup task that is giving you this error. Create a new task that points to a new empty folder on the target destination.

Once you have a new full backup, delete the old task and its files.

Bryan,
Your attachment refers to a volume 68. Perhaps I am misinterpreting this but if your client is performing incremental backups and is up to a 68, this is an unsafe data situation. If a restore was needed, it would need to restore the 68 prior files and all 68 would need to be fully readable without errors in order for a successful restore.

If using type full plus incrementals or full plus differentials, it would be better to perform a new chain more often so the incremetial backup count was kept to a smaller number.

Not sure which version of TrueImage you are using but if the above describes your situation, review signature link #2 below and look at illustrations 11-Inc; or 11-Dif; or 11-Full. Each of these is an automatic cleanup by the program and keeps a revolving set of backups. The illustrations are for version 2012 and 2013 but could be helpful if using 2011.

However, if the backups being created are full type backups, then the comments about incremental are not applicable here.

Here is a link describing how to make your your client is creating a complete disk image of his entire system so the system could be restored to a new or larger disk--should there be a need.
