Made a clone SSD while my original HDD was in my computer
Brand new to Acronis 2015. Purchased a Crucial SSD. Used cloning feature. New SSD connected via USB. Software found both drives. Selected HDD as source, SSD as target. Accepted defaults. Per instructions rebooted. Now I can't boot to my HDD, even when the "cloned" SSD is removed from the USB port. The computer boots to the Acronis screens and says that one of the HD cant be recognized.

The issue still occurred with the SSD removed before rebooting...and ion reboot, the Acrionis software would still run right after the POST finished. After rebooting about 10 times with the SSD removed, my computer now boots normally.
Also, I downloaded what I thought was the latest version today, but looks like I got version 15...but there is a version 16 available. Seems like I should have gotten the latest version when D/L today?

Michael, if you have downloaded the Acronis software as provided with your Crucial SSD, then this is an OEM version of the software and is not supported directly by Acronis - all support for OEM products lays with the vendors who provide it.
OEM products are also often older versions of the mainline Acronis product, i.e. ATIH 2015 in your case and quite possibly not the latest build version (6613). There is an ATIH 2016 version of the full product but this has to be purchased or an upgrade bought for it.
The correct process of cloning from your HDD to a SSD is shown in KB document: 56634: Acronis True Image 2016: Cloning Disks which is still relevant for your 2015 version. You should not attempt to perform the clone operation from within the Windows version of the Acronis software, but always and only from the Acronis Rescue Media which boots from CD or USB stick.
See KB document: 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products
