Making a WinPE disk with version 7119 and Win7PE_SE

Thread needs solution

Has anyone been successful in building a Win7PE_SE project with Acronis WinPE? I have 2012 with powerpack running windows 7 x64.

I'm not that experienced with PE stuff, but I was able to build the Win7PE_SE project using windows 7 Professional x86 and test in VM without error. But when I try and use Acronis WinPE maker to add to the project, it immediately errors out without any helpful message, just that an error occurred and Acronis closes. It makes the Acronis wim file of the same size as the boot.wim, but doesn't appear to be added.

It's really frustrating because there are still tons of drivers not added to the linux boot disk.

Just in case, Acronis-based WinPE bootable media in always x86, requires x86 drivers .
(To save anyone's googling time, its home page is w7pese.cwcodes.net)
I'm not quite sure how media builder is 'added' to that project - I'm more that sure it wasn't netsed with anything than MS's WAIK installations. Exact screenshot of 'an error occurred and Acronis closes.' may help though.

Here I'm trying to do plain winpe using Acronis' instructions here:

B drive is a 10GB ram drive but I get the same error when using C drive. I've done reboots so that this is the first thing I try after boot. And I get the error. Can anyone confirm successful winpe creation in 7119?

Hi, I have generated both the WinPE with TI 2012-7199 PlusPack and also with Win7PE_SE with Windows-7 Professional x64. I had to make some changes to the script, if you would like I can email it to you with information on how to make it work with the 64-Bit Windows-7 (you have to copy the 64-Bit modules it needs).

Could you have un-zipped the addon / PlusPack zip file?

The latest Win7PE_SE script I've seen should work okay with 32-Bit Windows-7... but it does need some updated 64-Bit modules that are not in that script to work with 64-Bit Windows-7.

I tried one time using a script found but it was for 2011 so I didn't expect it to work.

After that, I ONLY used the Acronis winpe builder tool, for which they have provided instructions that I could not get to work. I'm trying to confirm if anyone has successfully used the instructions provided by Acronis to make a WinPE disc.

Please email me (timbo01a4 AT gmail.com) your script and instructions, so I can confirm a working solution. But I don't plan on using x64 in my day to day, its not supported by Acronis and not as trouble free as a 32 bit WinPE disc. But it may just work or help provide insight.

Thanks!

Give me a couple days (or so) to get everything together, and I'll get it to you.

Any chance to get your script?
