Monitoring Backups

Thread needs solution

I have just installed Acronis true Image 2014 and and testing it so that I could sell/recommend it to clients. However, one thing that is severely lacking (Or I cannot find it :) ) - It does not write the backup details to the event logs? We use GFIMax to monitor all our supported computers and if Acronis is to be sold and supported, I need to be able to monitor it remotely by checking eventlogs etc for the status of the backups.

Is there any way to monitor the backups or have it write into the eventlogs so that we can query specific info?

Steve,

The logs aren't overly specific, but the closest you can get is to set up all the tasks to send you an after event email.

With ABR11.5 you have alittle more flexibility, but it might not be possible with your business setup. With ABR11.5 you can have a central console and all your clients have the remote service installed. This would allow you to set up all your clients tasks from your office and then see the log (as it is stored at your end rather than on the remote PC). They still ahve the option of setting up their own tasks, though you wouldn't necessarily see those.

The remote agents are normally meant for internal lan setups, but so long as you had access via your customers Backup and Remote users groups, you could still access via their machine IPs.

Hi Colin,
Thanks for complete Message and sorry about my bad english.
I think, that properyty Systems are "out of date". Who wants to checks every time many different "log Systems". e.g. Antivirus, Harddisks, Server, Security, Backups ore so on.
e.g. "GFIMAX Remotemanegement" collect Data of all these Parts of healthy and will also alert if a message ist not arrived. I Think its a better way.

thats why the question: Is it possilbe in future Versions to integrate these info ("Backup Complete") write in Events Logs in Windows to.
