more problems with TIH 2011 - downgrade rights to 2010?

Thread needs solution

I am continuing to have issues with True Image Home 2011. The latest is this:

16 Warning 4/14/2011 8:59:38 AM The file (folder) already
exists. (0x40013)
function = "MoveFileW",
filename =
"\\?\F:\backup.tib_A5970DBC-FF09-49D4-A8F6-4502F3319276.tib"
Tag = 0xF35F747B3B21F8DF
Cannot create a file when that file already exists (0xFFF0)
code = 800700B7)
Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8BC

There was an existing backup on the drive, and it is set to a single version backup so it should have overwritten the original - but apparently it did not. I now have 2 verions of the file in my destination. A .tib file and a .tib_A597.... file.

Since I'm having so many issues with 2011 and I've read so many posts that 2010 is much better, I'm willing to give 2010 a shot if possible.

If I purchase TIH 2011 do I have downgrade rights to version 2010? If so, is there a trial that can still be downloaded for 2010?

If not I will likely switch to a different backup package.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question regarding downgrading, but I'm going back to 2010 today! More reliable, and much, much easier to use....

In ATI 2011 it's hard to distinguish a Task from a Backup. If do a backup and then "run" it again manually, ATI 2011 will count the resulting backup as separate from the prior one, as if part of a different task or a different chain of backups.

Generally, in the past, the license to one verson did not entitle the user to any other version. I recall an exception made in individual special case. If you're within 30-days, you can pursue a refund then see if you can find a for-sale copy of 2010.
