Mount Image does not work after Win 7 SP1
Mounting an image worked flawlessly until I installed Windows 7 SP1. Since the installation of SP1 I get the message:-
"Failed to open (initialize) the computer.
Failed to initialize the snapshot manager library. (0x100005)
Tag = 0x8D5BF87C202E8705
Unknown status. (0c9)
code = 2)
Tag = Ox2AACB7B2ABS52AC
The system cannot find the file specified (OxFFFO)
code = 80070002)
Tag = OxBD28FDBD64EDB8BC"
Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem or is definitely a problem caused by SP1?

Win 7 SP! is only an RC. It has not been formally released by MS. TI 2011 compatibility is unknown

JoeG:
Win 7 SP1 was released on February 16. It's available to OEMs and on TechNet or MSDN, if you have a subscription. It isn't yet being pushed out via Windows Update, but it will be soon.

I concur with Mark Wharton. I actually have the Windows 7/2008 R2 SP1 release version on an external hard drive. I downloaded it a couple of days ago from the Windows Volume Licensing Service Center. They also have ISOs available for both Windows 7 and 2008 R2 with SP1 pre-installed.
BTW, compatibility with SP1 shouldn't be "unknown" at this point. The release candidate has been out for months. The whole point of the release candidates is to give professionals and application developers something to test against. I could see not supporting SP1 until it was officially released, but to say compatibility is unknown is absurd.
But with Acronis, the fact that they haven't tested their product with even a release candidate version of Windows 7 SP1 wouldn't surprise me at this point. Their TIH 2011 product is garbage. This would just be another bug that will never get fixed.

I have a Tech Net subscription and have downloaded the Win 7 SP1 update. So far I've installed it on two PCs without issue, but neither of the PCs has TI 2011 installed. I'm going to install SP1 on my work PC tomorrow, which does have TI 2011 installed, so we'll see if it causes any issues.
February 22 is supposed to be the date that SP1 is available on Windows Update.

Win7 SP1 will be pushed to the general public before month's end. It's not like we didn't see this coming, let alone Acronis. Saying that compatibility is unknown is only from your point of view. I don't think you speak for Acronis. It'd be nice to hear from them instead.

I absolutely do not speak for Acronis

Win7 SP1 is now officially released to the public and will be pushed via Windows Update. No more excuses.

Following up on my reply #5 above - the installation of Win 7 SP1 on my work PC went well. Unlike the original poster, Stan Kay, TI 2011 image mounting still works fine for me.

I have to concur. I just got finished installing Windows 7 SP1, and I can mount image backups as drives with no issue.
It seems I jumped the gun a bit on this. With all the trouble I have been having with TIH 2011, I assumed the worse and maybe that wasn't fair.
