Moving Application Data Between Different OS

I am running TI 2010 on a on a Dell Dimension 3000 loaded with Windows XP Home. I am replacing a hard drive on a Dell notebook computer that will be loaded with Windows XP Professional.

What is the procedure for transferring just the applications programs and data from the Dimension 3000 to the notebook that will be running XP Professional insuring that only the applications are transferred?

If this has been addressed someplace else in the forums please steer me to the information.
