My last backup failed - don't understand why

Thread needs solution

View log said, "The disk is full cannot perform this operation."

My backup schemem was Single Version which is suppose to overwrite a full backup version every time. Why didn't it over write a full backup version made to the same disk the day before?

Before deleting the prior backup, there must be enough space to create a full backup and then the delete will occur. Perhaps you were marginal and your current backup is slightly larger than before. You might want to try a different backup scheme and choose to keep x number of backups. Here might be one sample for fulls only. Change the 4 to whatever number you want to keep. Changing 4 to 1 should work but I would suggest more than 1.

I changed the backup scheme from Single to Custom scheme, kept Full method. It's scheduled for 4am tomorrow morning.

Thank you.
