my security zone disapeared when created

Thread needs solution

Hi!
I created my security zone locating it on D (my image is on D as well) everything seemed to went fine. when my computer was about to restart a error message appeared but I couldn't read it as the computer shut down really quickly. When my computer re-started my D was gone. I can't find it anymore.
- It is not in Disk Management
- I tried to press F11 when i start my computer to access the security zone/startup recovery manager, it doesn't do anything
- When I go in Acronis to modify the security zone it says I simply don't have one.

One thing that might have affected the creation of the SZ is that my computer cannot start normaly (for an unknown reason, that's why i needed my SZ so I could use the startup recovery manager to restore my computer using my image)

Please Help.

Thanks in advance

Maybe your boot records have been compromised and ATI was not able to update them to kick off the ASZ creation process upon reboot. That could explain also why you cannot start normally.

What you can do if use the recovery CD to recover your image and restore your computer. If you don't have one, you can download it from your Acronis account from another computer, and burn the downloaded image directly to the CD (ATI is not needed to do this).

Go to your Acronis account, register your software, go to product updates, you will see a tab for bootable media,

Alternatively, you might have a CD that you used to install your software. This should be bootable as well, but not as up to date as the one from the web.

Register your product at www.acronis.com. Once registered you can download the latest versions of TI and boot disks.

thanks for your help. I have done what you adviced me to do but when I start with the bootable disk, i still cannot find my D.... Where could it be?!!

Can you post a screen management of the Windows Disk Management?

Also, what type of Disk is D (connection)?
