Is my version old or not?

Thread needs solution

I recently upgraded to True Image Home 2012. Each time I launch it, I'm told there's a new version, with an offer to download and update. I tell it to go ahead, so it thinks a bit then decides that I actually have the most recent version. However, when I start it next time, the same thing happens. What's going on?

Hello Mike,

The latest build is 7133. You can confirm which build you have installed on the "About" menu option. This is found in the upper right hand corner of the program window (blue questionmark). If you look closely at the other menu options (found on the "gear" icon just to the left), you will also see the ability to enable or disable automatic check for updates.

If you continue to receive "A Newer Version Of The Software Is Available" when a check is performed, and you are sure the latest build is installed, something in the registry or a configuration file probably didn't get updated properly.

To resolve, I would suggest that you uninstall the program using Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (W7), reboot, then reinstall.

If you've upgraded from a previous version (not build) then I would uninstall and use the cleanup utility before reinstalling. ***Important to follow all of the instructions when using the clean tool.

Mike,

Some users get this message when they didn't properly update their Plus Pack. If you have bought the Plus Pack, uninstall it, uninstall 2012 and reinstall first 2012, then your Plus Pack.
