Need help with Acronis V9

Thread needs solution

My version of Back up is V9
I am not able to recover any of my backed up images. Acronis tells me they are all courrupt. I have validated them with the Acronis program as part of my back up procedures. Had I not had to rely on the program disk to boot to my computer, I know the images would work, and I have had to use them in the past.
What I beleive is the issue is this; when I purchased my program disks, before the program would work, I had to go to the Acronis site, register, and only then, they sent an update to the program which made it correctly work. As I stand now, the program disk allows me to boot up, but what is on the disk, and what is installed on my computer are two different programs. Therefore rendering my images useless to me.
I beleive the way out of this delimma would be to make a new Acronis program disk which included the updates. My V 9 Disk would now be V9. 3854 However, I am not sure if it is possible, or legal. Possibly I am not even asking my questions or posting this question to the right place. Do the Acronis Reps read these sites and admin to the people who post here?
Is it possible for Acronis to do such a thing to help out others that run into this issue at these typical crucial times when one depends on it?
I love this imaging program.. when it works, there is none it's eual!
If an Acronis rep is around, I would sure appreciate some help, or feed back on a solution. Thank you!

Lisa,

I am unclear whether the problem you are having is from within Windows or from the rescue CD.

Where are the images stored on a CD/DVD or hard drive?

I seem to recall that Acronis changed the algorithm for the tib file in build 3677, but it was backward compatible.

If you copy your images onto your PC's hard drive assuming you have the space, do they validate then? Are thes images complete images or slices to fit on either FAT32 systems or CD/DVD's?

Build 3854 was the final build, I don't understand your comment about 'it being legal' as you need to make a rescue CD from which ever build you have installed.

If the 3854 build rescue CD doesn't work then whichever your original builds CD might. If you purchased a box version I suspect it might be the first build which is 3633.
