Network authentication

Thread needs solution

I am using True Image Home with a Western Digital My Book World Edition on my wireless network. I can see and select this network drive when setting up backup, but backup fails with the message Error occurred while writing to file, browse to specify another location, retry, cancel. This network drive has a public folder which does not require any authentication for a local user. No credentials are required to access this folder.

I have also tried to authenticate to another computer on the network which is running Vista, but am unable to authenticate with a user name and password that has administrator rights on that machine.

However, I am able to authenticate to a third computer running Win7

I am attaching the system report and windows system info, any help appreciated ...

When you set up a network drive as a destination, you have to enter credentials and test the connection. Does this test work?

That test id not work, and on further checking on the MY BOOK, users have only read rights to the Public drive. I have this fixed and a cruising. Thanks for the help.
