New 2012 User Needs Secor By Sector Help

Greetings,

I am brand new to the forums, but have used Acronis in the past. For the past 3 years, been an online backup only and never needed to use Acronis

Last week, drive #2 started making noise, so I removed and checked my C drive and found it too was dying ( WD 250 GB, 5 yrs old), so I ordered new and set up Acronis Online Backup trial and Home Trial yesterday

My C Backup is 101Gb and it seems too big for online as after 9 hrs of high speed ( 10.8mbps), it still says 12 hrs to go, so I suspended it. I assume its too much for the online or the drive is failing at times like it does during regular usage and stalling in place. )

As soon as my drives arrive, i will attempt to put in backup #2 drive D, and do a full backup to it, but my question is this, Backup or Sector Copy Bootable

I want to do a Sector By Sector backup, if the drive will allow it to finish. i want to be able to restart and have the computer back in time when things were rosy a week ago

1.) First off, Can I do a Sector Backup with Online backup?

2.) If the drives arrive and main C drive is still fine, how should I proceed with DRIVES to get a Sector Backup and have it Bootable, so hopefully, when sector backup is all done, I can just move the drive up one bay to the C drive slot and be back to where i was a week ago

So can you outline my steps. Format BOTH DRIVES FIRST?

Put Windows XP on Drives??

I think I have to upgrade the trial to full to get Sector Backup support, so I will do that today, but any help you can give me, to prepare me for the changeover will de-stress me a little
