New machine build yields drive letters problem in Computer Management

Hello,
Just finished updated my machine with a new SSD and a 500GB HDD for storage. Win 7 was installed on the SSD with AHCI enabled.
The problem is, if it IS a problem, that in Computer Management in Win 7 the drive letters of the SSD and the HDD are reversed. That is to say the SSD is Drive "1" while the HDD is Drive "0" .
Will this discrepancy effect my Acronis backups when I make them?
I have tried to change the order of the SATA cables but that makes no difference to Windows. If I fool with it too long, then the BIOS doesn't even know the HDD is there or vice versa. I can have one of the two but not both! Now luckily I have it to the point where I started.... Drive "0" is my HDD and Drive "1" is my SSD.
Somewhere this information must be stored in the registry but I haven't a clue where to look.
As long as the odd numbering doesn't hurt my backups maybe I should just forget it's there! ?
Thanks to all in advance.

If machine is a desktop, switch the connector on the motherboard from 1 to 0,
and the storage disk to connector 1 just vacated by the SSD.
if machine is a laptop, you will need to switch the disk positions inside the computer.
