New problem with ATI 2011 Build 6696

Thread needs solution

I was pretty excited yesterday when I saw that a new build of ATI 2011 was available.

However, when I tried it this afternoon I discovered a new problem that did not exist in Build 6597. My preferred way to use ATI is to run the Recovery Manager and back up the entire system outside Windows so I can get a true snapshot.

I downloaded the updates for TrueImage and the Plus Pack, installed them, and then made new Recue Media. I normally use the Recue Media to boot and activate Recovery Manager from there. Deactivating (uninstalling) the existing version of Recovery Manager worked, but activating (installing) the new version did not. I consistently get an error message stating that the required files could not be found on the CD.

Until you get your issue resolved, continue to make your backups when booted from the new Rescue CD.

Have you tried uninstalling both Plus Pack and 6696 and then installing again. Try deactivating the Startup Recovery Manager before you do the 6596 uninstall.

You might want to consider restoring a backup to get you back when 6597 was installed.
Then deactivate the SRM, uninstall 6597 and PP.

Reinstall 6696 and PP and reboot. Then try to activate SRM again.

Hello all,

Thank you for posting and your kind help.

Torsten, I will definitely assist you with this issue.

This is a known issue in our software which will be fixed in Update 2, I am sorry for any inconvenience.

As a workaround, please activate ASRM from Windows. As for the other functionality of the program, it will not be affected.

If you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.
