Newbie Here-How to Schedule a Backup for later?
Hi. I've not used ATI before. It came with my computer (Music XPC), which has 4 hard drives and a total of 1.2 TB of hard-drive space.
What I'm trying to do is back up certain drives regularly, but at night when I'm not on the computer. I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I only see "click proceed to start" after setting up a backup.
Am I missing something (wouldn't be surprised)?
Thanks,
Ken
version: Acronis True Image Home, V. 11, build 8,101 (special build for MUSICXPC, apparently).

Using XP Home Edition I have no password assigned to login to Windows. Scheduling True Image I have never needed to set a password. I just leave that entry blank. This has worked reliably since True Image 8 through the latest version.

Thanks for adding that, Bruce. I do seem to remember other posts having to do with "no password" and ATI accepts that. I have never used the scheduling feature but assume it would need my Windows password if I did.

I suspect the password is needed if you schedule the backup under a user (with admin rights?) who is not logged on when the job runs ...

Hello all,
Thank you for using Acronis Products
The program requires Windows authorization for a scheduled task execution. That is why you should enter your account name and password both to let Acronis True Image log in Windows with Administrator's rights and execute a scheduled task. The user name should be specified in the form of SERVER\USER or DOMAIN\USER.
If you don’t use password for the account, just leave that field in the program empty.

Hello tyra gai,
Sorry for the delayed response. I will help you to resolve the issue.
Could you please create some testing account with simple password and username and try specifying its credentials in the task?
This would help us to determine whether the issue is depended on particular user account or not.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.
Regards,
