No "backup" option on backup list.

Thread needs solution

Upgraded from TI 2013 to 2014. However, in the backup list of backups made with TI 2013 (.tib files) only the "Recover" option is displayed i.e. I can only recover the 2013 backups. I cannot continue backup to those files. Submitted request via email for help. I followed the instructions received for "Recreating backup settings" but I could not implement the final step which was to click on "Backup Later" since that option is greyed out. I have made three attempts to connect Live Chat but no one answers.

The step you're probably missing is selecting the Source when you are doing the Recreate Backup Settings procedure. The actual file selections aren't saved in the tib file, and I wouldn't necessarily trust them any way. Select the drives and/or files/directories on the left panel, and the "Back up now" button should come alive from gray. You can then pull it down to choose "Later."

I recommend, however, that you start a new set of backups and keep these old 2013 around for a little while, then delete them rather than try to continue from a previous version.

I would add my agreement with these comments.

Use this as an opportunity to start fresh. You can use the "Remove from list" option and remove the old tasks from your program listings. You are not deleting the actual backup files so these tib backup files are are always available for file or partition recovery.

Recreate all new backup tasks but before you do, spend a little time review link #2 below and look at the illustrations 11-Full or 11-Inc or 11-Ful. All 3 are illustations which use Automatic cleanup so you avoid the "disk full' error caused by the unlimited use of the norma Incremental setting. Each new task should point to its new own new storage folder or sub-folder. I do not recommend the mixing of backup files from an assortment of tasks.

it is posible in the old listings to right click an area and from the right click menu, choose recreate settings. Ths will allow you to re-select all new settings for the old tasks but this is a procedure I do not recommend.
