No CD drive

Thread needs solution

Hello -
Pardon me if I'm posting a copy post about this subject but I haven't found it yet. I have two manufacturing computers (Pro-Face) touch screen XP Pro platform pc's without CD drives.

My main concerns are:
1.) Can I load Acronis True Image from a USB flash drive onto each?
2.) After loading the software I'm planning to do full backups of both partitions. Is this considered an image from which I can create a bootable iso image if I do this?
3.) In this case, when I want to restore...or replace the computer with a new one for corruption or broken screen etc...how do I go about doing it with the backup in iso format on the flash drive?

Thanks in advance!
Tim

1) Yes. ATI will let you create a bootable recovery USB flash drive to boot your computer on and launch ATI.
2) Yes. If you create a disk and partition backup of your entire system disk (all partitions), you will be able to use that image to restore your disk. The backup image is not bootable per se. THe recovery USB flash drive is.
3) If you restore to the same computer, possibly on another disk, you just need the recovery USB flash drive and the image discussed above. If you restore another computer (different motherboard), this is harder: you need the ACronis Plus Pack Plugin in addition to ATI to create a new USB recovery media with the Universal Restore feature.
